Experience wonderful golf moments
Thanks to the great deal of care and attention paid to the green, the Golf Club Bad Ragaz offers a very special golfing experience. Surrounded by breathtaking mountains and embedded in a beautiful park landscape, we, as a member of Leading Golf Courses, strive for perfection so that discerning guests feel perfectly at home with us.
The 18-hole PGA Championship Course has been a member of Leading Golf Courses, a community of quality and values, since 2007. This membership underlines the club’s golf culture and philosophy, both of which are geared towards the goal of perfection. The golf course is also the only one in Switzerland to have been awarded 5* Superior by the German Golf Course Owners Association, and is one of the leading courses in Switzerland.
The Grand Resort Bad Ragaz is Switzerland’s only resort boasting two golf courses of its own. The Golf Club Heidiland, a 9-hole Executive Course together with its Golf Academy, is ideal for beginner golfers and offers perfect conditions to practice. More experienced players, on the other hand, can revel in the challenge of the short game.
Following The Open championship at the Royal Troon Golf Club (Scotland), Switzerland played host to a previously unknown concentration of world-class golfers of the European and PGA Tours. Less than 20 hours after the British Open, 17 of the world’s best golfers teed off at the Golf Club Bad Ragaz in Eastern Switzerland’s Bad Ragaz spa resort.
Once again, in 2017, our 18-hole PGA Championship Course will be honoured to host international professional golfers from all over the world. Witness the brilliance of world-class players up close during the three-day tournament and the two preceding Pro-Ams in Bad Ragaz.
Tim Thelen won the 20th Swiss Seniors Open in 2016. It was the American’s second victory in Bad Ragaz after his win here in 2012. Swiss golfer André Bossert was unable to use his strong position after two days, slipping from 3rd to 27th place.
